As its parent charity, Cripplegate Foundation helped to establish Islington Giving in 2010. As well as contributing financially, Cripplegate Foundation manages all Islington Giving grants.
Islington Giving is the first of the growing London’s Giving movement, helping local people connect with their communities through giving. They help people, businesses and other organisations give money, time, expertise, and skills in ways that make a real and lasting impact

Since 2010, Islington Giving has:
- Motivated thousands of people locally to give money, time, and expertise to their local community.
- Collaborated with local partners to support over 30,000 people in Islington.
- Worked with community partner, BIG Alliance, to encourage over 9,000 people to give their time and skills to change lives.
- Worked with over 130 local organisations to support vital activities for local people.
- Inspired the founding of London’s Giving and 20 other local giving schemes across London.
Islington Giving’s Grants & Programmes
Islington Giving helps local groups and organisations apply for funding through its grants and programmes. The grants and programmes aim to:
- Connect people who are isolated
- Support families having a tough time,
- Improve mental health for everyone,
- Make sure young people have the best chance in life.
