ICCC is a small, flexible and relational grants funding programme for Islington’s voluntary and community sector. The funding is provided through a partnership between Islington Council and Cripplegate Foundation which administers the fund. The main priorities of the fund are to:
There are three ICCC application rounds each year. Funding of up to £5,000 a year is available for voluntary organisations that work with Islington residents who are experiencing poverty and/or isolation.
To apply your organisation must have a turnover of less than £100,000. Priority is given to organisations with a turnover of less than £50,000. Organisations may only apply once a year whether a previous application was successful or not.
Applications for Islington Council’s Community Chest are considered by a Panel made up of Islington Councillors, Cripplegate Foundation Governors and members of the Islington Community Network.
There are comprehensive guidelines for applicants to Islington Council’s Community Chest, and a budget form you will need to complete.
Cripplegate Foundation can offer help and support with your application, as can Voluntary Action Islington.
Important: there will be two, rather than three, ICCC funding rounds in 2024/25. This will mean there will not be a funding round/deadline in January 2025. Therefore, groups that applied for funding in the January 2024 funding round can reapply in the October 2024 round this year rather than wait the full 12 months.
The closing dates for 2024 are:
