Sarah Lee is Chair of Cripplegate Foundation, Chair of the Governance and Renumeration Committee, and Advice Projects Steering Group. Alongside this, Sarah serves as a member of the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Committee and Finance and General Purposes Committee, and is also a member of the Islington Giving Board.
Sarah is a local resident and has been working with the Islington-based international law firm Slaughter and May since 1993. Slaughter and May is also one of Islington Giving’s BIG Alliance members. Sarah was a Partner and, until recently, was the Head of Disputes and Investigations Group and has been the partner with overall responsibility for Diversity and Inclusion and Graduate Recruitment.
Her many voluntary roles have included: Trustee and Director of the Board of the Royal Courts of Justice and Islington Citizens Advice Bureau; and a Member of Pilotlight, a charity which teams business leaders with charities to support them with strategic planning. Sarah has also received external recognition and was named in the 2016 Upstanding 100 Leading Ethnic Minority Executives List, and the 2017, 2018 and 2019 EMpower 100 Ethnic Minorities Role Model List, featured in the Financial Times.
Sarah has been a member of the Foundation’s Board of Governors since October 2020.
