Are you looking to develop your career in finance whilst working for a community-based charity? Can you take the initiative and show that you’re a team-player, supporting your colleagues in delivering high quality finance support?
Cripplegate Foundation and Islington Giving has an excellent opportunity to join us as our Finance and Resources Officer, ideal for someone with existing experience in finance, accounts and/or bookkeeping looking for part time work.
The ideal candidate will have:
This is an excellent opportunity to join a small, yet dynamic team in Islington, London for someone who has the passion to help the Foundation to address these inequalities and to tackle poverty and inequality at a local level. The Resources Team plays a pivotal role in the Foundation’s 2022-24 corporate strategy, whether it be assisting the Development and Communications team in producing reports from our CRM database, Salesforce, giving crucial financial information about our Cost of Living crisis fund or in helping the Programme team with managing payment schedules for our latest approved grants. We are also embarking on exciting new initiatives related to our strategic objectives around Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) and Climate Change, which the Resources team is an integral part of, so this is a great time to be joining.
The role of Finance and Resources Officer is crucial in providing that link between the work of our Programme and Development and Communications team and translating this into action by providing the funds to our grantees and beneficiaries in improving the lives of residents in Islington. We need someone with the right accountancy or bookkeeping experience that can hit the ground running and who understands the importance of processing invoices and other financial transactions on time and with accuracy and can do so independently, whilst at the same time ensuring that this is done in accordance with our financial regulations and with the correct approval and authorisation. This role is varied and interesting which requires someone to be flexible and adaptable, but which is incredibly rewarding for someone with the commitment to the work of the Foundation.
