The Catalyst Programme is an innovative way of making a difference to peoples’ lives, focusing on joy and ambition and not just basic needs. It involves working flexibly, “seizing the moment” without endless paperwork, taking a relational approach, and a willingness to devolve power. Now running for ten years, we are bringing people together to share learning from the Programme and celebrate the inspiring achievements of Catalyst partners and local people who have been involved.

Islington resident who had recieved a Catalyst grant

On Thursday 7th May, from 6pm to 7.30pm we’re hosting a friendly drinks reception, alongside Islington Giving, which is kindly being hosted by Expedia Group, in its Angel Square offices. We will share stories and insights with a mix of people from different sectors, with many people happy to share their experience of the Catalyst Programme.

The event is a chance to celebrate the inspiring, transformational stories of Catalyst partners in Islington, and also to share ideas about how this approach could work in different communities. There will be a short film screening, and the launch of a new learning resource for people

This will be of interest to:

• people interested in innovations in funding, commissioning, the voluntary sector and philanthropy
• people working in or thinking about the wellbeing of people and communities
• people working in businesses that want to demonstrate social responsibility and closeness to their communities.
