This report summarises the developments by voluntary organisations and Islington Council following an ‘Open Dialogue’ meeting held in November 2016.
Cripplegate Foundation is committed to improving the resources available to voluntary organisations in the borough. We worked with Islington Council, the Octopus Community Network and Voluntary Action Islington (VAI) to bring 30 local voluntary and community sector (VCS) groups and networks together to discuss whole-community action for sustaining Islington’s strong and vibrant voluntary sector.
The report outlines the activities that were catalysed by this meeting, under three priority areas:
- Knowledge exchange and developing communities of practice
- Leadership development
- Operational and funding support
