Frances Carter elected Chair of Cripplegate Foundation

Our vision for Islington is of an equal borough where everyone can enjoy a life free from poverty and access the many opportunities on offer in their local area.

Frances Carter elected Chair of Cripplegate Foundation

Frances Carter has been elected as Chair of Cripplegate Foundation for 2018-19. Having previously served as Vice Chair of the Foundation, as Vice Chair of the Islington Council’s Community Chest panel and as Chair of Help on Your Doorstep for many years, Frances brings a deep knowledge of the work of the Foundation, as well as Islington’s voluntary sector more broadly.

I am delighted to Chair Cripplegate Foundation. I have been a Governor of Foundation since 2010 and extensively involved in its grants programmes. My year as Vice Chair of the Foundation gave me the opportunity to extend my role, including working with John Gilbert as Chair. I am grateful for his excellent leadership and for his support to me. This is a time of yet another set of exciting challenges for the Foundation, as new opportunities emerge to further develop our partnerships and enhance our interactions with the communities we work with.

– Frances Carter, Cripplegate Foundation Chair

The Foundation would like to thank John Gilbert for his input as Chair in 2015 and 2016. John will continue to serve as Vice Chair of the Foundation.
