Deborah Higgins

Deborah Higgins joined the Board of Governors in January 2023 and has extensive experience in both the commercial and charitable sectors, holding senior roles and board positions in both. Deborah is Chair of the Islington Giving Board and Chair of the Islington Giving Grants Committee.

Deborah has a background in banking and management consultancy, specialising in strategy and planning. Moving to the charitable sector as Commercial Director for The Prince’s Trust, she was responsible for fundraising, marketing and communications, and a member of The Prince’s Trust Trading Board. Passionate about opportunity and inclusivity for all, Deborah has been part of the establishment and growth of The Courtyard School  in Islington, for students with special educational needs including autism spectrum condition. Deborah has a degree in Economics and an MBA and has been a resident in Islington for more than thirty years.
